OVERVIEW
ISU Extension is the key organization, part of the university’s land-grant mission to sustain engaging communities and provide resources in all 99 counties across Iowa.
MY ROLE
As a graphic design intern, I was assigned to work closely with the Communications Team including senior designer, marketing manager and project managers. The Communications Team was the key to ISU Extension and Outreach digital engagement. My main role pertained to marketing-based materials creation and office duties such as meetings with my supervisors, internal file management, and streamlining communication between counties and official vendors, especially for county-scale projects.
SOCIAL MEDIA GRAPHICS
Social media graphic templates for ISU Extension social media channels for various news, updates, and organization events. I curated scalable templates across multiple screens responsive to Instagram, X, Facebook and LinkedIn.
FAYETTE COUNTY WINDOW VINYLS
Extension Fayette County needed new window vinyls for their front office. I was assigned to lead the project with proposals, iterations and finalization of the design.

COUNTY DIRECTOR CONFERENCE AGENDA
Extension held a County Director Annual Conference event which took place on November 12th at the Memorial Union. I was assigned to do an editorial design in creating the event breakdown to be printed.
I created several iterations using InDesign and threaded the contents to be digitally accessible. I took this opportunity to apply what I have learned through the eAccessibility training sessions..
LINN COUNTY SEED LIBRARY WALL VINYL
The Linn County Extension branch will be holding its premiere of opening the new Seed Library in March 2025. The client’s representative, Hailee, wanted our central office to create a wall vinyl for the opening event.
The wall mark will be placed on top of a drawer that is placed in the alcove, and the client wishes for the wall mark to indicate, inform, and promote what the Master Gardener program has done for the community and encourage visitors to take the same initiative to be part of the program.
Butler County Office Sign
This was a quick project for Butler County branch. The office asked for a new outdoor office sign to be placed next to the front office building door. I finalized the design and bridged the communication between Extension and their official vendor.

Extension Holiday Illustration
Nearing the end of my internship period in December, I was assigned with this project to create a holiday card that is responsive to other device screens such as email newsletters and social media channels.
ACCESSIBLE EVENT TEMPLATES
As part of the eAccessible project that Extension does to meet the Federal deadline to create all Extension materials accessible, I proposed some accessible event templates comprised with Acrobat accessible attributes.
