What do I design?

I have worked with satisfied clients from various departments throughout my studies at Iowa State University. Graphic design has always been my anchor, but venturing into the field of UX Design is a significant leap in my professional journey as a designer.

My design process

đź’ˇUnderstanding and resonation

I began my process by understanding the main problem— the root of the tree. By navigating the setbacks and relating them to user’s needs, I’m able to gain the understanding from user’s perspective as of what changes they need and why are those changes could impact their usability experience.

I connect the puzzle pieces by observing user’s needs, business goals, and gaining insights from research, data and feedback. I always ensure that I’m aligned with demands before preparing to take off.

🤝Human design and collaboration

I believe a good design is a human design meaning that the problem resolve comes from thorough observation and empathy. I dive into the art of balancing data and creativity to carefully craft a design system consists of wireframing, user flows, and prototypes that connect micro-interactions to bigger picture.

Besides bridging the gap of psychology and user experience, I always make sure to do tasks on timely manner while working with cross-functional teams ensuring that every design decision is intentional and accessible.

🔍 User test and refinement

I strive in constructive process where feedback through, but not limited to, usability test, A/B test, card-sorting, is taken into development metrics.

In various projects, I’ve collaborated in multidisciplinary teams consist of designers from various fields, managers and clients to address challenges and design refinements until product launch.
