This is the first UX/UI Design project I made in my first semester of junior year. This is a collaborative project between third-year graphic design and interior design students to create an app and tradeshow booth design for a selected brand, and my team’s client was Traffic People. Traffic People is a sustainable apparel retailer based out of London, UK.

This project aims to analyze, observe and get to know the brand’s vision and mission to create a complementary mobile app for the tradeshow.

As a disclaimer, I did not create the Traffic People logo and branding. Instead, I integrated the visual elements representing the original brand to be incorporated on the mobile app.

Project Overview

Traffic People mobile app was the first UX/UI design project I did in my junior year. This collaborative project assembled students from third-year graphic design and interior design to create both interior and digital products for a tradeshow booth for each assigned client. My group was assigned with a local brand based out of London, UK, Traffic People.

Project Mission

The goal was to create a tradeshow-exclusive digital app/website and booth design with B2B commercial and B2C purpose. The booth and mobile app came hand-in-hand bring together customers, retailers and professionals to explore a new approach of fashion experience.

To enhance user experience, our mobile app integrates virtual try-on technology, a seamless purchasing system, and a dedicated B2B section. The final design was purposefully to attract and engage customers in both B2B and B2C transactions.

Solution Statement

🌟 Our solution prioritizes the user’s engagement and retention in exploring and making decisions to stay engaged to our booth and mobile platform. It features a real-time experience of product exploration. It encourages users to explore the products as the brand provides inclusive apparels from all sizes.

Brand Audit

The goal of this research series is to understand user behaviors, preferences, and pain points when shopping for fashion online—specifically through mobile devices. Additionally, the research will elaborate how mobile platform can bolster Traffic People’s branding in tradeshow. Insights from the research will streamline the design and development of the Traffic People mobile app, ensuring it aligns with user needs and business goals.

Design Direction Statement

🌟 By using a variety of textures and materials from floor to ceiling the design will convey the unique aspects of Traffic People’s branding. This will be accomplished by integrating their one of a kind patterns and overall vintage, edgy and contemporary style while also displaying their passion for the environment and creating sustainable fashion

Design Process

Every successful design project is rooted in a well-structured and iterative process. For Traffic People app, our approach was centered around collaboration, feedback loops, and constant refinements to ensure we met our needs to align technology and efficiency on a daily basis.

Besides focusing on the B2B purpose of the tradeshow, I also created an event-exclusive mobile app feature which is a Virtual Try-On to enhance customers experience in decision-making process before purchasing

We also designated the app to be displayed both on mobile screen and a big screen at the booth.

Wireframes and Hi-Fi

As a designer in charge, I was responsible to ensure the flow and experience of users. I conducted a user test from my peers who frequently used e-commerce mobile apps. The feedback that I received was vary from the overall look of the interface and the experience they went through as they navigated the main tasks. I underwent multiple adjustments to address users’ pain points for improvement..
